Night Club Moments

Why Do All Nights Of Going Out In Memphis End At Backstreet?

I went to Swig again last night with M and J. I ended up seeing an ex-classmate from high school. She's probably a good contact to have as she works for The Commercial Sector.

I love networking. I used to hate it. When I worked in production in NYC as a freelancer I used to have to network for jobs and that sucked. Whenever I felt like calling old friends from past jobs, I always worried that they would think that I was contacting them just to see if they could help me find my next gig. I would avoid calling people to hang out that worked in the industry when I was looking for a job, even though they probably could have helped me. It just felt too awkward.

Anyway, we had a great time chatting it up. I hope M will come out more often, he's a really smart, funny guy but keeps to himself a lot at work. You know how those photogs are... loners.

Pick the Phone up and Call me Back

What is up with people that just decide that it is their perogative to call you back?

If I call you on the phone, call me back.

Call me and tell me to fuck off, but call me back.

See, I worry.

When you don't call me back, I wonder if you're ok.

I wonder what I did to piss you off.

I wonder if there is something wrong with me for worrying.

It's a vicious cycle and it's just not worth it.

So Pick the Phone up and Call me Back

YOU know who you are.
